We have measured major pools and fluxes of carbon in four forests in Northern California. These forests store large amounts of carbon in the trees, and soil and a surprising amount in the wood debris. We developed a donor-controlled model of carbon and it matches our measures well. This allows us to construct an entire carbon budgets for these forests. See our poster on carbon budgets in the Reports page.
